Wu Xiaolin is an associate professor in the School of Humanities, Southwest Jiaotong University. His main research interests are film and television anthropology and film and television communication. He published more than ten papers, one monograph, one editor-in-chief, directed more than ten feature films and documentaries, presided over two Chinese festival video logs: "Year of Yi" and "March 3 of the Buyi", and conducted ten Chinese festival video logs. He presided over two provincial and ministerial projects, two departmental projects, and two horizontal projects

The film "Zandang Miao Nian" is in the permanent collection of the China Ethnic Museum. The film "Under the Mountain" won the Award of Excellence from the Anthropological Society of Film and Television.
