During October 15 to 21, 2015, Professor Luo Ning was attended to the international conference of East

Asian Buddhism culture held by Taiwan University. This conference was hosted by the Buddhism research

center of School of Arts in Taiwan University. Over 70 researchers from Australia, Singapore, South Korea,

Japan, Mainland China, Taiwan and Hongkong attended this conference.

The Buddhism research center of School of Arts in Taiwan University is one of the most significant Buddhism

research agency. The website “digital Buddhism library and museum” set up by the center is the biggest E-resources

website around the world. The 20th anniversary of the founding of this digital Buddhism library and

museum was held along with the conference. The major people devoted to Taiwan digital Buddhism

resources work was also invited to the event to introduce the past and the present situation of

this field.

Professor Luo Ning released his paper “The Evolution of The Story Huisi and the image During Tang

and Song Dynasty ”, which revealed certain factors influencing the image of monks. The content of

the paper is related to Buddhism denominations, biographies, stories and novels.
