On November 4, the award ceremony of 13th “Golden Panda” Sichuan film festival was held in Sichuan

Media University. The “Golden Panda” film festival is for international animation works and TV works from

international undergraduates. Over 4500 undergraduates from 11 countries and communities had attended this

event. Many graduates’ works submitted by the Center for television culture in School of Humanities won several

awards in this film festival.

Sichuan film festival is host by the State Administration of Radio and Sichuan Government. The event of

international undergraduate awards is the major part of it, which has become a stage for undergraduates of

showing their talents on TV works since 2009. The “Golden Panda” award in this year has received the response

from people from 40 counties and communities, and 2998 works applied for the selection. There were 1440 drama

series, 958 documentaries and 600 cartoons.

After a tense competition, 2 documentaries works and one drama work from students in School of Humanities were

on the shortlist. It was reported that these works had gained high marks for vivid language, photography technology

and unique topic. Meanwhile, that showed the new achievements of the Center for television culture in School of Humanities.
