Recently, the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences announced the list of major projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation in 2020. Professor Liu Yujun of the Chinese Department of our college, as the Chief Expert, applied for the Sino-Vietnamese Book Exchange Research (Multi-volume Edition) (Project Approval Number: 20&ZD333), which was approved.

The project of research on book exchange between China and Vietnam takes the ancient and modern book exchange between China and Vietnam as the main research object. This paper presents the history, scale, quantity, social influence, cultural connotation, and political significance of the book exchange between China and Vietnam, which are closely related in history, politics, culture and geography, in the form of multi volume books. It also expounds the historical role of the Chinese culture with books as the carrier in the construction of Vietnamese national culture, philosophy and political system. The purpose of this paper is to establish a complete knowledge structure of Chinese culture and contribute academic strength to the study of Oriental classicism, which can really have a dialogue with the western academic community, so as to explore patterns and ways conducive to today's cultural exchanges between the two countries, and provide useful historical experience and reference.

The major project that Professor Liu Yujun won the bid is a project that was put forward by herself in the proposal for topic selection in the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences and successfully listed in the bidding guide. The approval of the project shows the original intention and mission of the scientific research personnel of our university to devote themselves to academic research and serve the major strategic needs of the country. It marks a new improvement in the overall ability of our liberal arts team to obtain national major projects in the new era. The level of the research team and the quality of academic propositions are gradually getting the attention and recognition of the national level. It is bound to provide reference for the innovation and development of our liberal arts, vigorously promote the innovation of liberal arts in schools and inject new impetus into them.

It is reported that the major projects of NSFC are the research projects with the highest level, the largest funding, the strongest authority, and the fiercest competition in the field of philosophy and social sciences. Since its establishment, it has always been of great guidance, authority and demonstration, and has been widely valued by colleges and universities all over the country. Every year, many experts and scholars participate in the bidding, and the competition is extremely fierce. The winning projects are of great significance and far-reaching influence.

Up to now, the Chinese Department of our college has won two major projects and two key projects funded by the National Social Science Fund.
