From May 2, in the program Lecture Room where Associate Professor Li Renfei of Southwest Jiaotong University College of Humanities is the main speaker, Learning From Guan Zhong through the Spring and Autumn Period will be broadcast on CCTV-10 science and education channel, with a total of 18 episodes. This is the third time that Mr. Li has been in the Lecture Room since he gave 7 episodes of TV lecture Famous Prime Minister Yan Ying in June 2014 and 15 episodes of TV lecture Chinese Clothes in February 2016.

Li said that Liang Qichao regarded Guan Zhong as China's greatest politician and political scholar. Not only did Guan Zhong's theory and practice make prosperity for Dynasty Qi, but also influenced modern society. It can be said that today's Chinese people are still using Guan Zhong's ideas in a large number, but they don't know that these originates from Guan Zhong for many reasons. For example, people-oriented, harmonious integrity, a hundred years of education, prohibition and so on. Therefore, his stories are often fully crossing, which can make people have a sense of enlightenment from history. When the audience feels that traditional culture can solve practical problems, the enthusiasm of watching will be ignited.

In fact, in addition to the concept and language, Guan Zhong also influenced the military construction, administrative structure, national music, diet and health care of later generations. Undoubtedly, Guan Zhong's system construction and rational thinking have profound practical significance. In his view, Guan Zhong's ideology contains the typical characteristics of both oriental culture and western thinking. Many theories of western society are actually included in Guan Zhong's theoretical framework. Although the words were different in ancient Chinese context from those in the western management, such as the target, strategy, organization, information, process, specification, performance appraisal, marketing and so on, they were essentially the same in Guan Zhong's practice. Therefore, a comprehensive interpretation of Guan Zhong will greatly enhance cultural confidence, which is also the foothold of overlooking international culture.

Li mainly teaches the Management Thoughts of Guan Zhong and Yan Ying, the Famous Prime Minister of Qi, and the Traditional Chinese Clothing Culture. He published the book Learning Management from Guan Zhong and gave a seven-episode TV lecture Famous Prime Minister Yan Ying in the program Lecture Room in June 2014. The 15 episode TV lecture China's Clothes began to broadcast in the program Lecture Room on February 20, 2017. Since its launch in 2015, Mr Li’s online class Management Thought of Chinese Famous Prime Minister Guan Zhong has attracted more than 100000 participants on the website MOOC. The course was recognized as a national exquisite online open course by the Ministry of Education in December 2017. In 2017, his course Chinese Clothes - Traditional Clothing Culture was launched on the MOOC website under the Ministry of Education. It was selected as the first batch of the most beautiful MOOCs in Chinese universities and the national excellent open courses in 2018.
